I wonder how many people miss seeing this guy?  As the boat in the Pirates of the Caribbean is getting towards the end of the ride it comes upon the pirates who are trying to get the key from the dog.  Maybe, the reason they are trying so hard is just another cell away, the skeleton of another pirate.

Adventure through Inner Space (with dramatic music playing in the background).  This was a great ride!  I think it was also an A ticket at one point and we would go on it at the end of the day to use up those tickets.
It was located where Star Tours is now.

I love looking at pictures of the fireworks at Disneyland, but I am still working on getting some that I like just right.  More practice!
This one was shot with a Nikon D800 at 1/40, f/2.8, ISO 4000 using a 200mm lens set at 78mm.
If I could do this over again I would change a few things.  1) use a filter and set the time for a little longer, say 2 to 10 seconds, 2) lower the ISO setting to 200 or so and 3) change the f-stop up to 14 or so.
I had just finished taking pictures of Fantasmic so those were the settings I was using.

This is the Pearly Band outside the Fantasy Gift Fair.  The Pearly Band has been around for a lot of years.

The Disneyland Band, which has been part of the park since its opening, plays the role of the Town Band on Main Street, U.S.A. It also breaks out into smaller groups like the Main Street Strawhatters, the Hook and Ladder Co., and the Pearly Band in Fantasyland. (From Wikipedia).  

The band is in front of the Mickey Mouse Club with Toys, Books and Games. (Games, what games?).

This is a shot of Wendy on the Columbia during Fantasmic.  What will happen?  Will she be able to fight off the pirates?  Where is Peter Pan?  Who is going to help her?
This was taken with a Nikon D600 with the following settings 1/400 (to stop the motion), f/2.8 (to allow as much light in as possible), ISO 1600 (again to let in light but not have to much "noise") with a 200mm lens set at 195mm.
Some work was done in Lightroom 5.
Oh, and everything turns out fine.

It is 1957, you pack the family up in the Studebaker and drive off to Disneyland.  Into the parking lot you go (yes, the parking lot was right next to the main entrance at that time), you walk 50 yards and you are at the main gate.  Purchase your entry ticket and a book of ride tickets (A,B,C and D no E tickets yet) and off you go.

In a lot of ways it is to bad that it is so dark in the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland because we are not able to see these great ghosts.  I would like to have the ride slow down, turn up the lights a little and let us enjoy the view!

I have not idea what color any of this should be but at least we can see them (oh, wait how can we see ghosts?)
