Disneyland Main Entrance 1957

This is a great shot of the Disneyland Main Entrance back in 1957.  Yes, the parking lot back at that time was right at the main entrance.  You could get out of your car and just walk to the gates.  The whole area where California Adventure now sits was a parking lot.

Parking lot and Main Entrance to Disneyland in 1957

It is 1957, you pack the family up in the Studebaker and drive off to Disneyland.  Into the parking lot you go (yes, the parking lot was right next to the main entrance at that time), you walk 50 yards and you are at the main gate.  Purchase your entry ticket and a book of ride tickets (A,B,C and D no E tickets yet) and off you go.
