Sleeping Beauty Castle 1976 (Park was closed)

This picture of Main Street and Sleeping Beauty Castle was taken in 1976.  As you can see the Park was actually closed that day.  This was before the "Partner" statue was made and installed at the Hub.

This is a picture of New Orleans Square taken from the Mark Twain.
It would have been very easy to have just put up some buildings without a lot of thought for how they would look from a distance but that is not the Disney way.  There is a lot of detail in all of the structures.

The Disneyland Monorail

The Monorail first opened in 1959.  Currently the Monorail can take passengers to and from Down Town Disney.
